POSTED 1/18/11 - BATAVIA FINISHES 2ND AT BIG CHILL TOURNAMENT

The Batavia Hockey Club finished second place this weekend in the Midget/High School Division at the Big Chill Tournament in Ann Arbor, MI.  They lost 2-0 to the Redford Wolfpack in the championship game Monday.  Goalie Jeff Heylmun was given the game's MVP Award as chosen by the Tournament Directors.  The weekend as a whole was a huge success.  Highlights included going to Michigan Wolverines and Team USA U18 hockey games, overcoming car breakdowns, playing our second game in Yost Arena, the antics of a few opposing teams, a huge Bears victory, and a re-match in a close championship game.  Hope everyone had a fun time!

POSTED 11/16/10 - SALVATION ARMY DEC. 20TH

FOR PLAYERS & PARENTS: We are going to help out at the Salvation Army in St. Charles again this year on Monday, December 20th from 4:00-7:00pm helping to carry purchases and food pantry items out to cars.  I have also volunteered our services to help with the clean up and restock after the shopping time ends (6:00).  This has been a great experience for the team to give back to the community and a very good team building event.  We would also like to try to plan a  team Christmas get together immediately after this event.  Again, we will finalize the details as the event gets closer.

Please let Jodie Heylmun know ASAP if your player will be joining the team for this event.
